VERTIGO THEATER – Women of theaters

“Women of Theaters” is a work written by Anna Maria Vannini and Fiorella Chiappi based on the book of the same name. The two authors from Livorno, after “Trilogy of Livornicity” and “Livorno theater of theaters,” decided to write a text that tells the story of four Livornese women who have surpassed the boundaries of the city with their art and have distinguished themselves nationally: Celeste Coltellini, sublime singer, Carolina Internari, actress and theater entrepreneur, Palmira Orso, the world’s first female orchestra conductor, Tina Andrei, great singer, and the first actress to play female roles in the dialect.

The work brings back to life the human and artistic story of these exceptional women. A tribute to the beauty of art and the memory of women of character who, as everyone knows, is the characteristic of Livornese women, among the first to feel emancipated and free.

The show will feature 25 actors and actresses.
