With the arrival of autumn and dropping temperatures, Livorno is preparing to welcome the twenty-fourth season of The Cage, the historic live club in the city that has been animating weekends with music, shows, and live guests for over twenty years.
The 2025/26 program was presented on Wednesday, October 1 in the Ceremonies Hall of the Livorno Municipality, in the presence of the artistic director of the cultural association The Cage Toto Barbato, the production director Mimmo Rosa, the ticketing and communication manager Marina Barbato, the production manager Federico Milani, and the Culture Councillor of the Livorno Municipality Angela Rafanelli.
It starts on October 4 with “The Cage is open” – The staff, who renewed the setup and light/sound system, is ready to welcome the public from Saturday, October 4 with the traditional opening party “The Cage is open”. From that moment, weekends full of events with national and international artists, established names, and new promises.
Affordable prices and no VIP lists – “The absolute novelty of this year is that, as every year – emphasizes Toto Barbato – with us there are no VIP lists, priority access, reserved tables. We have managed with difficulty to maintain our hyper-popular prices precisely to offer everyone the same possibility of fun. There is no club in Italy where you enter with only 10 euros.”
Zero dates and great guests – Among the highlights of the new season are the zero dates of top Italian artists, including Marlene Kuntz, and the arrival of Francesco De Gregori, who chose The Cage as one of the five Italian live clubs of the Rimmel tour.
“The zero dates – explains Barbato – not only have a symbolic value, but are important for the city because they attract fans from all over Italy and allow the artists, who arrive several days earlier, to experience Livorno.”
Rafanelli: “The Cage is quality and fun” – Words of appreciation also from the Culture Councillor Angela Rafanelli: “I renew my congratulations to you, you never get it wrong! Your strength is to remain true to yourselves. Wherever I go, The Cage is synonymous with quality and fun.”
