The awareness talk: “Andrea – beyond the boy in pink pants”

The first moment of the evening on the main stage will be entirely dedicated to thematic discussion, listening, and social commitment, focusing on a dramatically current phenomenon that affects young people: bullying and cyberbullying. The artistic director Grazia Di Michele will lead a transgenerational dialogue with the extraordinary participation of the Mayor of Livorno, Luca Salvetti, alongside two exceptional guests:

• Teresa Manes: Professor, civil and social activist awarded the honor of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2022 by the President of the Republic for her tireless commitment in schools and awareness campaigns (also alongside the State Police with “A Life on Social Media” and “Without a Net”). Her activism arose in the aftermath of the tragic death of her son Andrea Spezzacatena, who took his own life in 2012 after being a victim of cyberbullying due to a website. On the stage in Livorno, Teresa Manes will present the book reissued by Fabbri Editori in 2025 “Andrea – beyond the boy in pink pants”, a work that promotes a cultural change based on kindness and conscious use of language.
• Samuele Carrino: Extraordinary and talented actor born in 2009, considered one of the young revelations of Italian cinema and already awarded with the Silver Ribbon. Carrino played with great sensitivity the role of Andrea Spezzacatena in the record-breaking film of 2024 “The boy in pink pants”. With a solid career in cinema and TV series (such as Stonebreaker and the Netflix spin-off Rivals), the young actor recently debuted between February and March 2026 on the prestigious stage of the Teatro Sistina in the eponymous theatrical and musical adaptation of the show, bringing the same touching story to life.
