Surfer Joe Summer Festival 2025

One of the most anticipated summer music events is officially coming back. From June 19th to 22nd, the 17th edition of the Surfer Joe Summer Festival will take place at Surfer Joe Diner, on Terrazza Mascagni, the largest event in the world dedicated to surf music. A genre born in late 1950s California, niche in the global music market, but now more widespread than ever. This is also thanks to the incredible festival in Livorno, a remarkable catalyst for this genre. During the four days, it will be possible to listen to bands and artists from all over the world, attend informative seminars, musical talks, and participate in activities starting in the early afternoon.

The Surfer Joe Summer Festival, being a strongly niche event, sees in the experiential component of the festival the most important variant to keep interest alive in the event. A consistency that, with the various adaptations. Special praise was given to the support provided to the event by the Livorno Municipality (in collaboration with the tourism and cultural office), the Livorno Foundation, supporting the festival for the first time, and Confcommercio, a great help in the bureaucratic part. “The event attracts genre enthusiasts from all over the world,” Lorenzo emphasizes, “it has a great tourist aspect thanks to the large number of participants it attracts. An initiative that is absolutely not easy to find. For many foreigners, coming to Livorno means literally participating in the Surfer Joe Summer Festival.”

During the event, the Diner will remain open with the restaurant and bar available both in the garden and on the Terrace.
