Stefano Santomauro, actor and author from Livorno, manages to tell reality with precision and irony, thanks also to that Livornese cynicism that deconstructs everything without asking for permission.
Original, direct, capable of depicting society like few others, he has reached over 100,000 viewers throughout Italy with his comedic performances.

Discovered by Paolo Migone, Santomauro takes the stage and does something simple only in appearance: he takes everyday life and deconstructs it, piece by piece. He starts from what we know well, and transforms it, moves it, looks at it from a different angle. And something happens there: we laugh. A lot. But it’s never just a laugh.

With shows like Like, Happy Days, and God Save The Sex, he wins over both audience and critics, selling out with over 500 performances across the country and taking part in important national festivals in Milan, Naples, Rome, Turin, and Catania. Along his journey, he also receives awards such as the Kilowatt Festival, the Drama Comics Award, the Critics’ Award at the National Comedy Festival, and victory at the Zelig National Open Mic.

Parallelly, he also works for cinema and TV, sharing the set in 2023 with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche, and will be present in the new season of “I delitti del BarLume 14”.

He is also a highly regarded and sought-after author and in 2026 he signs, together with another historical pen of comedy Walter Santillo, the texts of the new show by Jonathan Canini, “Te lo giuro sul tuo ex”, a rising star of Tuscan comedy.

He is the creator and artistic director of the Sulla Felicità Festival, a unique event in the Italian panorama that transforms Livorno into a real cultural laboratory.
