YES! BOOM! VOILÁ! live at The Cage

The Cage is once again confirmed as a venue attentive to novelties and revelations, bringing to the stage a project born recently that already promises sparks: it is the SI! BOOM! VOILÁ!, a sort of noise-punk supergroup born from the ribs of the best Italian underground. Just the name of Roberta Sammarelli could already be enough to send fans of the genre into fibrillation. But the musical excellences of this newborn project are multiple, and see some of the most influential artists of independent rock united in a single band, born from the urgency of starting again with a raw, human and direct sound.
A project born almost by chance, like a spontaneous experiment in the recording studio that took on a life of its own. In addition to the former bassist of Verdena, the band is composed of guitarist Davide Lasala, producer and founder of the Edac Studio, a forge of national and international records (Gorillaz, Fatoumata Diawara, Nic Cester, etc.), guitarist Giulio Ragno Favero (former member of Teatro degli Orrori and One Dimensional Man), also known as a producer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer, drummer Giulia Formica (Baustelle, Chiello, Colombre, and Selton) and singer Michelangelo Mercuri, musician, performer and producer known to the public as N.A.I.P..
Five very different personalities, united by the same creative tension, finding a common language, a collective breath capable of transforming chaos into presence. In the group’s sound, the visceral urgency of hardcore, the rough sounds of punk, and the emotional openings of post-rock coexist. The band’s first album is coming out on January 16th, simultaneously with the live performance at the little theater of Villa Corridi while Pinocchio, the debut single, was released last November: as in the story of the Tuscan puppet, the debut of SI! BOOM! VOILÁ! is the account of an awakening, of when the wood begins to vibrate, the body to tremble, and the voice to become sound.
