PRELUDE TO INTERLUDE

Monday, April 14th at 9:00 PM, at the main hall of Piazza Vigo of the Vespucci-Colombo Institute, a new appointment of the Nights of the Library, literary meetings, and more, organized by the Library of the Vespucci-Colombo Institute in collaboration with Erasmo Libri.

The meeting will be titled “PRELUDE TO INTERVAL” and will be conducted by Massimo Ghirlanda and Michele Cecchini on the difficulties of shooting a film. The pretext is represented by a short film written by Massimo Ghirlanda in 2003 titled “Interlude,” freely based on stories and anecdotes from Castiglioncello by Claudio Castaldi, with music by Marco Lenzi, assistant direction by Ielytza Desideri, and direction by Sergio Bianchi.

The short film tells the story of some boys who, on August 31, 1962, swim in the sea together for the last time: the next day many of them will leave for distant cities. But that is not just any summer: soon after, on those very beaches, Dino Risi’s crew will arrive to shoot one of the most important films in our cinema: “Il sorpasso”.

Free entrance.
