“Practically Piazza XX” is moving to “Il Grattacielo”

The historic exhibition “Practically Piazza XX”, traditionally hosted in the famous and homonymous Livorno square, changes location this year and will take place from June 20 to 22 at the Artistic Center Il Grattacielo, in Via del Platano 6. The change of location does not affect the artistic and cultural richness of the event, which returns with three evenings of theater, music, and tributes to the city’s rowing tradition.

The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Livorno, will be under the artistic direction of Eleonora Zacchi and will feature a rich and varied program. Each evening will start at 9 pm and will be preceded by an aperitif starting at 7:30 pm.

The program of “Practically Piazza XX” at Il Grattacielo opens on Thursday, June 20 with “Mixed Crew”: a meeting of theater, music, and talk dedicated to Livorno’s rowing tradition. The evening will also feature the participation of the rowers of the 10 Remi crews, who competed for the first time during the Barontini Cup. Girls who represent the symbol of female commitment in this renowned tradition.

Friday, June 21 will be dedicated to music with the jazz concert “ILG Jazz Summer” by Matteo Giovannetti, a musical journey of refined notes and improvisation.

Finally, on Saturday, June 22, the exhibition will close with the theatrical show “Author’s Dinner”, signed by Eleonora Zacchi, which through a choral cast, will bring traditional characters of the Shakespearean world on stage in a ironic and funny way, reflecting on the value of art and culture. And with the participation of: Luca Salemmi.

The events on the 20th and 21st are free. The one on the 22nd is a paid event: €10 reduced, €12 full price.
