A theatrical show dedicated to the power of words. On stage, a microphone and an actress. A journey to discover words, which can be windows or walls. #POURPARLER is inspired by American stand-up, personalizing it to understand something about the world we are living in using sharp and witty irony. A very queer, very feminist, and very sexy stand-up. If the Greeks invented the periphrastic passive, there must be a reason. #POURPARLER is a constantly transforming show, with new words and new stories every night. And if it is true that today anything is communicated, sometimes even nothing, #POURPARLER is the exact opposite, a show desperately seeking meaning. And a center of permanent gravity. Or even just Battiato in the worst suburban bars. A viral show, destined to spread everywhere, like a virus on TikTok. In the era of digital hate, a show that helps fight it even within us, when we don’t even realize we have internalized it. An evening in search of the right words to love without distinction of sex, race, language, and religion.

Bringing back to the stage popular tradition, with an overview of events and characters that characterized Livorno from 1849 to the resistance until the first half of the 1950s. A way to remember what has been and what we must not forget. It is by looking at the past that we can often understand today and what traditions are and what remains of them or what is worth recovering. Stories, anecdotes, songs, romances, and ballads from the tradition of Labronico repertoire.

In this new comedic show, the irreverent Paone tells the story of living in a divorced family, raised by a feminist mother, and how he dealt with his eating disorders and ADHD in the ’90s. Finally, he will talk about his travels around the world, the fear of flying, and how it has become increasingly difficult to do political satire these days.
