After the success of the first edition with over 15,000 people, the Notte bianca dello sport is about to return to Livorno. This year it will take place on Saturday, July 13, from 18.30 to 02.30, once again between via dei Pensieri, via Allende and the various sports facilities in the area that are part of the so-called Sports Citadel. The event is organized by the Fondazione Lem, an organization that deals with major tourist events on behalf of the Municipality of Livorno, in collaboration with the provincial committee of the Coni. The Italian volleyball player Elena Pietrini will be the testimonial of the event. The aim of the Notte bianca dello sport, a unique event in Italy, is not only to celebrate Livorno’s sporting tradition, a city that will also be a protagonist at the upcoming Paris Olympics, but to allow young people, boys and girls to try out every discipline. All the facilities in the area, from the Armando Picchi stadium to the PalaMacchia passing through the Camalich swimming pool, will be open and will welcome families for an evening of sports and entertainment. Compared to last year, the school field will also be available, recently reopened with the new athletics track and ready to be at the center of the event, with various athletics disciplines and inflatables for the little ones.
