From 10:00 to 20:00, Tuscany Street and some nearby streets will be closed to traffic and filled with sports tournaments, theatrical performances, live music, creative workshops, and games for children. A whole day of celebration, made possible thanks to the joint work of merchants, local associations, and volunteers, who have been collaborating for weeks to offer an opportunity for sharing and participation.
Coteto is getting ready to welcome, on Sunday, May 11, the fifth edition of the Mom’s Day, the event that celebrates Mother’s Day and transforms the neighborhood into a lively center of activities for the whole family.
“The Mom’s Day is now an appointment awaited by the whole community,” comments Patrizia Montagnani, owner of Autoscuola Sicura and coordinator of the initiative. “It is a celebration of the family, the neighborhood, of the people who live there every day. A simple but effective way to show that Coteto is alive, safe, and full of positive energies.”
The event is organized with the organizational support of Confcommercio Livorno and the patronage of the Municipality, which this year has also provided for a contribution to the expenses. A public-private synergy that, as highlighted during the press conference, represents a model of virtuous collaboration.
“We are proud to support the Mom’s Day, which every year manages to attract families from all over the city and its surroundings,” declares the provincial director of Confcommercio Federico Pieragnoli. Coteto, thanks to the commitment of the organizing committee, has become a concrete example of participation and urban vitality.”
“The credit goes to those who, with dedication and spirit of service, work behind the scenes to create a day that unites and gives value to the territory – adds the president Francesca Marcucci. This celebration is much more than a commercial event: it is a social stronghold, a collective gesture that brings together citizens and economic operators, a model to follow.”
And precisely on behalf of the organizing committee, Montagnani adds:
“Our goal is to make the neighborhood come alive, bringing residents, merchants, artisans, sportsmen, associations, and funfair operators into the streets. It is a celebration, for sure, but also a declaration of love towards Coteto. A way to say that we are here, we care, we want to be present, also as a stronghold for safety and urban livability.”
The program includes music, ponies, sports (skating, volleyball, gymnastics), craft booths, the presentation of a book, a fashion show, and the animation of Disney characters thanks to the collaboration with the Costumeria Capricci.
At 7:00 pm, at the Gioielleria Orlandi, there will be the drawing of the lottery, whose tickets are already on sale and can also be purchased during the event. The proceeds will be used to finance the celebration.
Among the protagonists of the press conference are also Andrea Voliani (Professione Casa Real Estate Agency) and Fabrizio Orlandi (Camilla Orlandi Jewels).
