Friday, January 23rd, at 6 pm at Symphony Record Shop, Piazza Cavour, 23, opening of the exhibition by Giorgio Salise ” The horror drawn – A journey into horror cinema “. The exhibition, which will be visible until Friday, February 6th, is an intense and evocative visual journey through the imagery of horror cinema, reinterpreted by the sign and artistic sensitivity of artist Giorgio Salise.
This exhibition takes us on a journey through the epochs, styles, and atmospheres of the big screen, transforming iconic images and cinematic suggestions into graphic works capable of evoking fear, tension, mystery, but also charm and beauty. Horror, here, is not just fright, it becomes language, collective memory, visual story.
The work of Giorgio Salise stands out for the ability to synthesize the essence of horror films, going beyond simple quotation. Through drawing, the artist reworks characters, scenarios, and symbols, giving us a personal and profound vision that interacts with the history of cinema and the imagination of those who have loved and experienced it.
“The horror drawn” is therefore a tribute to horror cinema, but also an invitation to look at it with different eyes: not only as a genre, but as an art form capable of reflecting the fears, dreams, and obsessions of every era.
Giorgio Salesi has been drawing since middle school. He is a self-taught artist with a strong passion for books, cinema, comics, and much more. For him, drawing has always been therapy; a way to express that hidden potential that in everyday life, due to his nature, he could not bring out. Visitors are invited to take the time necessary to observe the works, letting themselves be guided by the images and the author, and, why not, find fragments of films, emotions, and personal memories.
