Afghan crafts, accessories made from recycled materials, jewelry, ceramics, and artifacts from around the world, sweets and Christmas delicacies, toys for children, and many ideas to support the right to care for those who are victims of war and poverty. These are just some of EMERGENCY’s Christmas gifts to buy online or, in person, at the Christmas space that will open in Livorno, at the “Fonti del Corallo” Shopping Center, via Gino Graziani 6 from November 22 to December 24.
This year too, the Emergency Christmas shop offers the opportunity to buy the “Panettone made properly”. The typical Christmas sweet will also be on sale throughout the Immaculate Conception weekend, thanks to the commitment of over 3000 volunteers who will be present at 700 Italian squares throughout the Boot. In Livorno and its province you can find it:
on December 4 at the weekly market of Collesalvetti in via Roma, from 9.30 am to 12 pm
on December 5 in the market square in Venturina, from 9.30 am to 12 pm and
in Cecina (location to be defined), from 2.30 pm to 5 pm
on December 6 at the Coldiretti covered market in Livorno, from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
on December 7 and 8 at the Christmas Market in Fortezza Nuova in Livorno from 10 am to 5 pm
The panettone made for EMERGENCY by the historic Vergani pastry shop weighs 1 kg and is made according to the traditional Milanese recipe which includes the use of natural sourdough and carefully selected ingredients. It has a low shape and a soft dough made with Italian soft wheat flour and enriched with sultana raisins and candied Italian orange peels.
It is available for 22 euros and each purchase will be accompanied by a special natural cotton shopper made by the artist and musician @dario_sansone with his message of peace.
Buying a panettone from EMERGENCY or a gift at the Christmas shop means making a concrete gesture of solidarity and ensuring free care to the victims of war and poverty in conflict-affected countries where EMERGENCY is actively operating such as in Gaza, Ukraine, and Sudan. Each gift is a concrete contribution to ensuring the right to care, even in the most challenging contexts.
