Among the invited authors for this edition are Antonella Sinopoli, Giacomo Scotti, Marco Ferrari, Marco Ferrucci, Peppe Millanta, Renzo Bacci and Veronica Galletta, different voices but united by a great attention to social themes, memory, and the narration of the present.
The appointment with Books in Motion comes back to Livorno, the free literary itinerary that animates the streets and squares of the Pontino San Marco neighborhood. Organized by the Pontino San Marco Committee, the event – now in its third edition – will take place from September 22nd to 27th, 2025 and will offer meetings with authors, itinerant readings, and moments of open-air discussion, in the heart of one of the most evocative neighborhoods in the city.
An initiative that over the years has been able to combine culture and participation, enhancing the territory through the power of words and the pleasure of sharing. The format is simple but effective: each appointment takes place in a different place in the neighborhood, transforming the district into a real literary map, where each stop is an opportunity to meet authors, listen to stories, ask questions, and experience literature outside the usual spaces.

The Pontino San Marco Committee, promoter of the event, thus renews its commitment to an accessible and widespread culture, capable of involving residents, readers, and curious of all ages.
Save the date: from September 22nd to 27th, the neighborhood turns into an open book.
The detailed program will be revealed in the coming weeks.
