ASTARTE EDITIONS
Sunday, July 7th, at 9:00 PM, at Parco Centro Città, for “Le notti della Biblioteca Vespucci-Colombo”, presentation of the book by Saverio Bargagna “IL PIÙ BUONO DEL PAESE” (Astarte Edizioni). Introduced by Michela Berti, journalist at La Nazione.
The event is organized by Biblioteca Vespucci Colombo in collaboration with Erasmo Libri.
The Book – The Kindest Person in Town is a tragicomic portrait of human weaknesses, in an imaginary country that everyone can recognize.
What happens when a community is called upon to elect “the kindest person in town”? Who can decide, and above all how? A stratospheric sum provided by a millionaire is at stake. So, on the eve of the new year, the small town of Pontarno finds itself facing a great dilemma. Amid bureaucratic troubles and small-big local interests, good deeds don’t always end up making people better.
Finalist of the “Il Delfino” Award 2023; Second place at the National Literary Prize “Caffè tra le Nuvole”.
Saverio Bargagna, journalist, was born in Pisa in 1980. Graduated in Political Science, since 2002 he writes for La Nazione. This is his first novel.
