The new light / Flamenco

The flamenco company “La Nueva Luz” – on stage on July 30 and August 2 – was founded in Livorno in 1996 by Patrizia Vennero. The company has performed in various contexts, including the Viareggio Carnival, weddings, conferences, and television programs, both in Italy and in Europe.

Patrizia Vennero, a dancer and choreographer with a diploma, collaborates with musicians such as guitarist Federico Pietroni and cantaor Luigi Cardigliano. She has created several theatrical shows, including “Tierra Rosas y Espinas” (2019) and “Alma Flamenca” (2022).

Currently, she teaches at her association “Livorno danza & spettacolo”, promoting Andalusian culture and flamenco. She has furthered her training with numerous flamenco masters and since 2020 has been enrolled in Flamencology courses at Spanish universities. Flamenco has been inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2010.
