Wednesday, May 29, 2025, 6:00 PM
FIDANDA Art Gallery – Livorno, via della Venezia, 7.

Back To the FIDANDA Parlor, the cycle of cultural meetings created and curated by Giuliana Donzello, writer and curator, at the FIDANDA Art Gallery in Livorno at via della Venezia, 7.
A project that, with monthly appointments, welcomes authoritative voices of culture and art, offering a space for reflection, comparison and in-depth analysis on always different topics.
Wednesday, May 29, 2025 at 6:00 pm, the Parlor hosts the lectio magistralis of Antonio Celano, a prominent figure in Italian publishing, titled: “The Game of Goose. The strange journey of a manuscript in the unknown world of publishing houses”. A precious opportunity to explore the complex dynamics of the publishing world, a sector that represents the main voice of the Italian cultural GDP and that today is facing profound changes: from technological transformation to the redefinition of the publisher’s role, between e-commerce, print on demand, artificial intelligence and an increasingly articulated production chain. Through the analysis of the “journey” that a manuscript undergoes – between evaluations, revisions, editorial design, promotion and sale – Antonio Celano will offer the public an expert and disenchanted look at the logic and behind the scenes of the publishing industry, trying to answer a crucial question: what kind of business is publishing today? The meeting will also be attended by Michela Rossi, editor, editorial consultant and president of the Qulture Association, a multidisciplinary cultural reality that promotes writing, reading and art, and that collaborates regularly with Felici Editore in the management of the “AcquaRagia” and “Quetzal” series.
Antonio Celano, born in Castelluccio Inferiore (PZ), lives in Livorno and has over thirty years of experience in the publishing sector. He has worked for major publishing houses, is a curator and series director, creator of cultural events, consultant and trainer. He has collaborated with numerous authors and actively promotes the spread of professions related to the book. Michela Rossi, originally from Massa, after a long career in public administration, has dedicated herself entirely to the world of culture.
