Summer also rhymes with aperitif. And if you put four friends at the table with the desire to tell stories of extraordinary women like Raffaella Carrà, Madonna and others, moreover under a starry sky and in an inviting garden like that of Villa Trossi Uberti, then everything becomes really interesting. So it’s good not to miss the appointment that Summer at Villa Trossi, a festival promoted by the Trossi-Uberti Art Foundation and created by the Pietro Napoli Association, has scheduled for Sunday, July 12th at 9.30pm: “The things we have in common”, an original show celebrating the essence of femininity. Bringing it to the stage will be the artistic group Le Note Pettegole, composed of Alessandra Renai, Francesca Fraschi, Sara Scassa, and Vanessa Gravante.
The name they have chosen says it all, but irony is one of the cornerstones of this engaging show which celebrates the strength, resilience, and creativity of the female experience, with an original and innovative format. The heart of the show is therefore an aperitif between four friends, which becomes the pretext for telling stories of extraordinary women. On stage, iconic figures like Raffaella Carrà and Madonna are side by side with less common but equally significant characters, such as Alfonsina Strada, Maria of Nazareth, and even symbols of pop culture like Barbie, representing the invisible thread that unites all women. Through these stories, the show addresses current and universal themes: body shaming, social pressure, depression, and the difficult balance between the multiple female roles.
The result is a show that skilfully mixes moments of hilarity, deep reflections, and intense emotions. Music is the protagonist: the artists sing live, reinterpreting famous songs with original arrangements that amplify the emotions of each story and create a unique sensory experience for the audience. The choral harmony, the different vocal tones, and the nuances of musical genres transform each scene into an intense and engaging moment. The idea and lyrics of the show are by Le Note Pettegole and Chiara Fioretti, the vocal arrangements by Sara Scassa and Carlo Bosco, while the vocal arrangements are by Carlo Bosco and Francesco Turio; directed by Le Note Pettegole and Simone Papini, sound engineering and Light design by Spazi Sonori Live by Alessio Barbieri. Finally, choreography by Le Note Pettegole and Cecilia Testi.
“The things we have in common” is a sparkling show, a high-level musical comedy with the sensitivity needed to accompany the audience on an emotional and musical journey that brings together women of yesterday and today, famous and unknown stories, all linked by the invisible network of connections and suggestions that touch every woman, at any time.
