On Saturday, June 13 at 7.30 pm at the church of Santa Lucia in via Urano Sarti, 89 in Antignano, there will be a musical event in memory of the figure of Domenico Papalini, a highly respected teacher, and very active in cultural activities and institutions, such as the Centro “Don Nesi”, and a passionate singer in various city choral groups. Domenico was an extremely active and proactive person, yet at the same time away from the spotlight: in his tireless work, he left a deep mark in the charitable activities he carried out at different levels, always discreetly aiming for substance rather than appearance.

The evening, organized by the Coro “R. Del Corona”, will be a series of various and highly interesting musical proposals: in fact, the Choir Vincenzo Galilei of the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, directed by Maestro Gabriele Micheli; the Choral “Marietta Piccolomini” of Siena directed by Maestro Guglielmo Pianigiani, in addition to the organizing choir that will open the concert with a brief musical greeting, directed by Maestro Luca Stornello. The program will range from a cappella polyphony to sacred pieces of lyrical-symphonic extraction, spanning centuries and styles. To enhance the concert, Maestro Stefano Agostini will participate on the flute, performing a piece by Cyril Scott for flute solo, and a sonata by Handel in a tested duo with Maestro Micheli.

An evening that promises to be of great interest, the public is invited.

Admission is free
