Concert Cantaluna – Acoustic Quartet

MELODIES, DANCES AND ANCIENT BALLADS from Italy and around the world

The acoustic quartet Cantaluna was born in 2022 and is composed of Marco Fabbri (accordion), Laura Francaviglia (guitar, percussion), Fabio Galliani (ocarinas, figulino) and Barbara Giorgi (voice, percussion).

The group offers a repertoire of melodies, dances and ancient ballads from Italy and around the world, including Irish dances, Greek music, tarantellas, French mazurkas, klezmer, reinterpretations of popular songs, lullabies and medieval ballads, as well as original compositions. The uniqueness of their sound comes from the use of ocarinas and figulinos. Cantaluna has participated in several national festivals and in March 2024 the Japanese label Respect Record released their CD “Ciao Ocarina – The Best of European Folk Music”.
