The female figure in Livorno’s vernacular theater has always been very important as the protagonist of classic comedies by Beppe Orlandi or Gino Lena. The actors, in stage costume, that is, in the attire of a classic Livornese common woman, will bring to life an animation with impromptu lines and stornelli accompanied by musicians. On stage on the bridges every day, from July 30 to August 3.

“Compagnie livornesi riunite” is an alliance formed by Livorno’s cultural associations La Compagnia Lirica Livornese, la Combriccola Livornese, La Carovana, La Compagnia del Sesto Piano directed respectively by Franco Bocci, Alessio Nencioni, and Marco Chiappini. The consortium was mainly created to spread and continue Livorno’s popular vernacular theater, but not only that, also the brilliant comedy, Operetta, Variety, and Pre-show with the aim of collaborating together to enhance their respective actors and present themselves to the local and regional audience. They collaborate with Il Crocchio dei Goliardi spensierati Pisani.
