The Female figure in vernacular theater from Livorno has always been very important as the protagonist of the classic comedies by Beppe Orlandi or Gino Lena. Actors, in costume, that is, in the clothes of a classic Livornese woman, will bring to life an animation with impromptu lines and stornelli accompanied by musicians. On stage on the bridges every day, from July 30 to August 3.

“Compagnie livornesi riunite” is a consortium formed by Livornese cultural associations La Compagnia Lirica Livornese, la Combriccola Livornese, La Carovana, La Compagnia del Sesto Piano directed respectively by Franco Bocci, Alessio Nencioni, and Marco Chiappini. The consortium was mainly created to promote and carry on Livornese vernacular popular theater, but not only that, also the comedy, operetta, variety, and vaudeville with the intention of collaborating together to enhance their respective actors and offer themselves to the city and regional public. They collaborate together with Il Crocchio dei Goliardi spensierati Pisani.
