From Symphony Record Shop, Piazza Cavour, 23, the appointments with music organized by the Association Only Music Can Save Us continue.
On Saturday, January 13th, at 6:00 PM, Stefano Lucarelli and Massimo Volpi, together with Massimo Mannucci, will present “Amori Sbagliati – Femicide in Pop Songs.”
Femicide is a very serious and delicate topic. Many popular music artists have written and sung about violence against women. These songs can be a way to understand and collectively comprehend how a simple narration can become, over time and with a new sensitivity, a social denunciation.
In music, how the topic of femicide is treated can vary greatly. Some artists choose to address the problem with strong and direct tones, while others may opt for a more metaphorical or symbolic approach. In Saturday’s meeting, we will listen to and understand how the perception of such a delicate topic as femicide has changed over the years.
Among the songs to be listened to: “Via Broletto 34” by Sergio Endrigo; “Il Tagliacarte” by Riccardo Cocciante; “Lella” by Lando Fiorini; “Delilah” by Tom Jones; “La Ballata di Carini” by Luigi Proietti; “Where the wild roses grow” by Nick Cave/ Kylie Minogue; “La Canzone di Marinella” by Fabrizio De Andrè; “Morte di un fiore” by Le Orme; “Una storia come questa” by Adriano Celentano; “Donna” by Mia Martini.
