At The Cage, the electronics of the Livorno-based C.Y.B.

Arriving on stage at The Cage are the C.Y.B., alias for Cyborg Bees, a Livornese electronic music band with an innovative and fun approach that combines live-played organic instruments with fresh and contemporary digital production. Five musicians and a DJ for a project born during the pandemic, which over the years has seen the lineup change several times and has gained an increasingly larger following in the city. The band’s current members are Massimo Gemini on saxophones, keyboards, and vocals, Luca Pasquadibisceglie on drums, percussion, and rhythmic and electronic programming, Samuele Vergili on console and electronic programming, Matteo Pastorelli on electric guitar and baritone, and Fabrizio Balest on bass. For the first time at the Villa Corridi theater, the Cyborg Bees will bring to the stage their original sound, composed of a dynamic mix of pulsating electronic rhythms, soulful sax lines, energetic percussion, and daring guitar riffs. A dialogue between tradition and innovation that finds its natural dimension especially in live performances and is capable of giving the audience a true and immersive sound journey, where classic influences meet futuristic sonic landscapes and experimentation leads to the intertwining of introspective melodies and high-energy grooves.
