There are artists who pass and artists who stay. Rino Gaetano belongs to the second category: visionary, ironic, poetic, uncomfortable and tenderly popular. 50 years after the publication of But the sky is always bluer, the Rino Gaetano Band returns to the stage at The Cage, the official group founded in 1999 by his sister Anna and led by Alessandro Gaetano, the songwriter’s nephew, voice and guitar of a project that for over twenty years has been carrying around Rino’s free and rebellious soul. Alongside him a team of very close-knit musicians: Ivan Almadori (second voice and guitar), Michele Amadori (piano and keyboards), Fabio Fraschini (bass), Alberto Lombardi (electric guitar) and Marco Rovinelli (drums). Together they manage to form a real musical family that transforms every concert into a collective ritual where the audience not only listens: sings, dances, gets excited. And also on Friday the audience can unleash and get excited to the timeless hits like Gianna and But the sky is always bluer, but also through the lesser-known gems of the repertoire up to some posthumous songs. The live performance of But the sky is always bluer tour 2025 will be a journey into a world that continues to speak to the present, made of sharp irony and sweet melancholy, disillusionment and hope. Rino, after all, told about an unfair but beautiful Italy, with the pure voice of someone who never stopped believing in it for a moment. At The Cage the band will present a show that is both a celebration and a narrative, where nostalgia gives way to participation: because Rino’s songs, after decades, continue to be an act of love and resistance, the soundtrack of those who believe that music can still change the way we see the world. Doors open at 9:30 PM, concert starts at 10:30 PM. Tickets on TicketSms starting from 10 euros plus booking fees. Following until late night Robetta Party, tickets available directly at the entrance, admission 10 euros with first drink included.
