ACQUISTA QUI IL TUO BIGLIETTO

Nobody in the history of Italian music has reached the general public with an evolutionary musical path like the one proposed by Franco Battiato.

Battiato, through the form of “Canzone,” manages to convey extremely profound spiritual messages effortlessly, drawing from the esoteric school of the Armenian master Georges Ivanovic Gurdijeff, introducing Tibetan meditations, Haiku and Sufi chants in his melodies, mixing east and west within his famous radio hits that have left an indelible mark on our collective imagination over time and generated millions of listeners transported by his touch.

Battiato transforms Italian commercial songs into something deep and recognizable. He is the first artist in Italy to sell a million copies with “la voce del padrone” (the voice of the master), the first artist to bring symphonic classical music to commercial radio achieving huge successes (“Come un cammello in una grondaia”), the first and only artist who has managed to range from experimental electronic music to commercial pop, classical music, and hard rock with skill and genius.

Battiato explores styles and musical genres that have shaped our way of listening to music and brought thousands of people closer to spirituality and joy in a hymn to life.

The concert will range from great classics to lesser-known pieces, for a journey through his timeless songs, with anecdotes and curiosities, explaining the meaning of the lyrics and playing them in a minimalist whispered version with guitars, cello, and small percussion instruments.
