Concert-tribute to the Pooh with the band Friends Forever

2026 marks the 60 years of career of the Pooh. An exceptional milestone, that few bands in the world can boast. To pay homage to their immense artistic journey, Estate a Villa Trossi, a festival promoted by the Trossi-Uberti Art Foundation and conceived by the Pietro Napoli Association, presents a special event hosting for the first time in its lineup the group Amici per Sempre – The Tribute to Pooh. The appointment is for Saturday, July 4th at Villa Trossi Uberti, for a concert full of emotions and scenic effects to be enjoyed outdoors, in the garden of the villa located a stone’s throw away from the waterfront of Livorno.

All the energy of the historic Italian music group, one of the longest-lasting and most successful pop-rock bands, founded in 1966 and able to sell over 100 million records, will take the stage. The audience will attend a “total” concert, full of milestones such as “Piccola Katy,” “Tanta voglia di lei,” “Chi fermerà la musica,” and “Uomini soli” (with which the Pooh won the Sanremo Festival in 1990). The project Amici per Sempre – The Tribute to Pooh was born in 2017 and for 3 years has been consistently presented with this lineup: Fabio Balsamello on vocals, Dario Bicchierai on keyboards and vocals, Massimiliano “Teo” Teora on bass and backing vocals, Francesco Casellato on guitar and backing vocals, Roberto Veneziano on drums and backing vocals. A Tuscan band that boasts a certain live prolificacy and that already this winter has sold out at the Salesiani Theater in Livorno. For those who missed that chance, here is a new and valuable opportunity to see live this formation that will perform for the first time on the stage of Villa Trossi.

The passion for the music of the Pooh is clearly the common trait of all the members of this group who have chosen to be inspired by the latest live versions of the Pooh, in order to get as close as possible to what they are today in their live dimension. In sixty years of career, in fact, the historic Italian group has experienced a great musical evolution, refining the arrangements and it is precisely this evolution that the Amici per Sempre project intends to ride in its tribute to the music of the Pooh. If they ever meet them one day, it will be a dream come true, but in the meantime for Fabio, Dario, Massimiliano, Francesco and Roberto it is already a great honor to bring their songs to the stage and interpret them.

The concert will develop following a series of themes, passing from the female figure to some unavoidable musts, up to some more recent pieces in the Pooh’s repertoire, which overall reaches almost the threshold of 500 songs. In the show that will take place at Villa Trossi, there will be no lack of more intimate moments, made of acoustic sets with guitar and vocals or piano and vocals; they will alternate with others rich in scenic effects. In short, Amici per Sempre is a project that aims to reproduce a visual and musical impact faithful to what the real Pooh do. All counting on the support of the audience, which will be involved in the pleasure of singing the most famous hits, in a communion of words and notes capable of returning emotion, refinement, and desire for sharing.
