Melodies in SEA – From the Old Fortress to the Meloria Tower

Melodies at sea – From the Old Fortress to the Tower of Meloria, an experience that combines history, nature, and lyricism at sunset. The event, organized by the Agave Cooperative with the participation of the Municipality of Livorno and in collaboration with Tuscany Mini Cruises and the Terreni duo, will take place on the evenings of Friday, July 3 and Friday, July 10, 2026. The experience begins on land with a guided tour of the Old Fortress, a symbol of Livorno and an example of Tuscan defensive architecture. The journey continues with a narrative walk in the Medici Port and culminates with a navigation to the Natural Park of the Meloria Shoals. At sunset, on board the boat, an aperitif will be served while the duo formed by soprano Barbara Terreni and pianist Diego Terreni will offer a repertoire dedicated with tributes that range from Puccini to Morricone and Bocelli. The return to port is scheduled for 9:30 pm. According to the organizers, “Melodies at sea” represents a model of integrated territorial enhancement, with the aim of showing how culture, economy, and nature can interact to strengthen Livorno’s identity and create an experiential tourism product.
