INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2026 at Terrazza Mascagni

The event, which every year sees the participation of hundreds of people, is open to the entire community. It is necessary to arrive at 7.30pm at the Terrace bringing your OWN MAT and wearing comfortable clothes, to start at 8 pm.
On Sunday, June 21, the initiative, as always, will see the practice of Sun Salutation executed as a collective flash mob with chanted mantras.
The event will conclude with a collective meditation for peace and unity among the peoples of the world. The event, now in its eleventh global edition, has been sponsored by the Municipality of Livorno.
“Yoga is a way of being to face life in harmony with the world – remember the organizers – a message that today takes on even more relevance. We need to act as centers of peace in the places where we are. True transformation starts from within.
The event has never skipped a year, not even during the Covid period, because yoga is wellness and a message of hope. It is a practice that involves body and mind, and for this reason it fully fits into the identity characteristics of our city. Let’s not forget that Livorno in the late 1800s gave birth to health tourism attracting people from all over Europe.”

The interest generated by this discipline also led to a recent edition being featured on Rai 1 Linea Verde, which opened a dedicated service to Livorno with the practice of Sun Salutation and Yoga in the magnificent setting of the Mascagni Terrace.”
