nnIn a not too distant past, in our popular neighborhoods it was customary to spend the evenings “a veglia”, that is, people would gather, in the good season, outside the doorways, after dinner, and talk, debate, tell stories and events, and above all, play “i cappottini”, with real names or with names known to everyone, like “Maria Sdraiati”, “l’avvocato Cencetti”, “Il Cardellino” and many others. But it was also the place where romances and stornelli were born, because a guitar always came out, to end the evening in joy.

“Il Teatro dei Semplici di Tina Andrey”, through the son of the great artist – Sandro Andreini – brings to the stage a memory of Livorno of the past, between irony and nostalgia.
