CONCERT STARTS AT 10:00 PM
The evening of **Thursday, July 30th** will be dedicated to the immortal genius of Lucio Dalla. **At 9.15 pm**, Grazia Di Michele will take the stage to discuss with creative manager and talent scout **Marcello Balestra** about his latest book, **”Lucio c’è. La vita e la musica di Lucio Dalla”**, published by Mondadori Electa with the preface by Walter Veltroni. The talk will offer the audience an intimate journey into the soul of the artist from Bologna through a privileged perspective: Balestra has been part of Dalla’s “family” for over thirty years, witnessing since 1980 the behind-the-scenes of artistic creation at the historic Fonoprint studios in Bologna and during creative retreats at the Tremiti Islands. The book portrays a mischievous, free and cultured Dalla, capable of nurturing talent encountered along his path. The story retraces the birth of visionary projects like the label Pressing (of which Balestra was artistic and editorial director) and the epic of the historic Dalla-Morandi world tour of 1988-89, portraying a mentor and life master.
To enrich this special prologue, **four young artists** will pay tribute to the great Lucio Dalla: **Alessio Palagi**, singer-songwriter and guitarist from Livorno class of 2001, who recently participated in the national final of “Sanremo Rock & Trend” at the Ariston; **Corrado Neri**, versatile artist from Syracuse, a synthesis of classical piano, jazz and ragtime, who has triumphed at the Ibla Grand Prize with performances at Carnegie Hall in New York and KIOI Hall in Tokyo; **Mancino (Consalvo Ivo Mancino)**, singer-songwriter and actor from Monte di Procida class of 1998, winner of the award “L’Artista che non c’era” 2025 and already present at the De André Award and Il Tenco Ascolta; **Francesco Saporito**, jazz pianist and composer from Livorno class of 2002, winner of the “Pino Massara” award in 2018 and finalist for the “Lelio Luttazzi” award in 2019, with two albums of original songs to his credit, and a third album titled “Change My World”, recorded in February 2026.
This artistic prologue will be the perfect prelude to the great evening concert by **RON**, expected on the Main Stage with his acclaimed and renewed live show “At the Exact Center of Music”. Rosalino Cellamare, tied to Dalla by a historic and fraternal collaboration (from writing **Piazza Grande** in 1972 to the **Banana Republic** tour in 1979, up to the song **Attenti al lupo**), will lead the audience through a playlist of over twenty songs with his band (Giuseppe Tassoni, Roberto Di Virgilio, Stefania Tasca, Pierpaolo Giandomenico). The concert will combine his greatest historical hits – such as **Una città per cantare**, **Anima** and **Vorrei incontrarti fra cent’anni** – with tracks from the recent album **Sono un figlio** and a reinterpretation of **Lontano Lontano** by Luigi Tenco, which recently crowned him with the Tenco Career Award.
