Seventh appointment of the 2025/2026 season with the proposals of My Generation, the format of The Cage which, also thanks to the collaboration with the Florentine association Musicus Concentus, offers the public the opportunity to get to know emerging artistic proposals. This Saturday the proposal is a bit special and sees both the screening of a film and a live concert. It starts at 10:00 p.m. with Kneecap, the film directed by Rich Peppiatt that tells the controversial rise to success of the Belfast rap trio that sings in Gaelic and has become a cultural and political reference point in the defense of the Irish language in post-conflict Belfast. The protagonists are the members of the band Naoise Ó Caireallá Móglaí Bap, Liam Óg Ó Hannaidh Mo Chara and JJ Ó Dochartaigh Dj Provaí. Born on the fringes of the establishment and openly opposed by institutions – from the public television RTÉ to the unionist party DUP – the group has built its reputation through a performative attitude close to punk and a provocative musical production, based on the innovative fusion of Irish and English, capable of influencing a new generation in rediscovering their linguistic roots. In recent months, the trio has been at the center of public debate also for its political positions, in particular the support for the Palestinian cause expressed during international concerts.
Next on stage will be the Lit Up Fuse, a band with a sharp and impactful sound born in March 2022 from the creative push of the singer-songwriter Alice Bosco and the producers Bruno Cama and Emo; later expanded with Maria Cristina Tanzi on guitar and Davide Cimareusti on drums, the group mixes typical elements of bands with characteristic aspects of electronic music, blending punk honesty, techno energy, and hip-hop sampling. All seasoned with anti-fascism and transfeminism, for an experience that goes beyond mere entertainment. In 2025, Trigger was released, the first album of the band that has accumulated a wealth of live performances in Italy reaching the final in Italian festivals such as Nameless Festival, Arezzo Wave and Sei Festival.
