A new original tour that will take you to discover the ancient and forgotten professions of Livorno’s port.
Starting from the heart of the seventeenth-century Quartiere Venezia, you will have access to the Museum of the boats of the Northern Tyrrhenian Port Authority, where you will admire the last remaining small boat in Livorno and other historical boats.
Walking in the historic neighborhoods of Venezia and Pontino, we will evoke the stevedores and many other professions, until we reach a charming and characteristic water-level cellar where you will meet Fulvio Pacitto, the last Master shipwright of Livorno, who with his memories of the city that was, will demonstrate this ancient profession to us.
