Takeoff is an exhibition that is born within the walls of a suggestive cellar in the heart of Venice, the cellar of Piano B. And from there it takes off.
Four people from Livorno, who have been traveling the world for many years, usually meet between layovers and train stations, in confusing online calls across time zones, in some passing European capital. They travel, they write, but above all they photograph, telling various parts of the world, each in their own way.
Livorno is their starting point. Sometimes a point of return, often just a passing point. A source of inspiration and also of frustration that burns under the skin.
With Takeoff Carolina Rapezzi, Daniele Stefanini, Gianluca Pardelli and Leonardo Bellini will showcase works ranging from personal projects to assignments, in a journey of 32 photos that will cross multiple continents, cultures, and many stories.
The appointment is at the cellar on the Scali del Ponte di Marmo, at number 7 (you enter from under the turret, in front of Piano B).
