Creative Girl – Concerto by Duo Nuages for piano four hands

The concert presents an all-female program not only for the performers, but also for the musical choice that features pages by female composers, often overlooked – despite their value – simply because they are women.

Through the biographies and music of Amy Beach, Fanny Hensel Mendelssohn, Mel Bonis and Cécile Chaminade, female musicians and composers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, we are led into a program of rare listening that aims to tell their life stories, their music, and their struggle for deserved recognition.
