“Summer at Villa Trossi” officially returns for its eleventh edition and, this year, the events will certainly not be few. In the presence of councilor Angela Rafanelli, the president of the Foundation Angie De Santi Simonini, and the director Veronica Carpita, Roberto Napoli (artistic director of the event) presented the spectacular program of this edition.
A total of 46 evenings of shows (click, consult and download the complete program by clicking on the pdf link at the bottom of the article) will take place at the Foundation headquarters from June 20 to August 31. The events, of different nature, will include musical concerts of various genres, theatrical performances, dance shows, and magic. Stand-up comedy nights will also be unmissable, with interesting productions dedicated to literature, talk shows, stories, and cabaret.
“We have arrived very early at the eleventh year of an event born as a small gem under the direction of Venturi,” the Foundation’s director opens the conference, “which for some years now has seen Roberto Napoli put together the different evenings. This year forty-six. Imagine what it means to schedule such a volume of artists in two and a half months. The puzzle has been almost miraculous.”
Thanks to the great participation in the various editions of “Summer at Villa Trossi”, the Foundation has managed to definitively consolidate its image within the Labronica city reality. “This is a place of service to the city – Carpita emphasized – A place of culture and socialization with a mission to spread art, of any kind it may be.”
De Santi Simonini, in her first occasion as president of the Foundation, immediately spoke. “I am very excited,” the new president admits, “I have been appointed together with Roberto Pullerà and Michael Rotondi, two other super valuable individuals. What we will do will certainly be to carry on, give continuity to the excellent work already done, trying to bring innovation and extend art, increasingly involving the citizenship. We are happy to present an event that is now part of our historical memory.”
“I am honored to be here during such a critical phase of construction,” Councilor Rafanelli intervened, “The Foundation plays a role in all of our lives, supported by the Municipality. We are nurturing this young festival with an extraordinary number of encounters and, of course, intense and constant work. A true representation of trust and love, which doesn’t let you give up in difficult times.” The edition is also supported by Il Tirreno, Cattolica Assicurazioni Livorno, Promos Livorno, and Campo al Noce – DOC Bolgheri Wines. Special thanks go to Fondazione Livorno.
“The artists always have a great desire to return,” enthusiastically declares Roberto Napoli, “a sign that the audience has been participative and the artists satisfied. These are niche events for which I have selected artists based on both seat availability and artistic quality presented. The programs have always been self-financed by me with the help of the location and contributions obtained from ticket sales, the sponsorship of the Tuscany Region and the Municipality.”
