Mini Giraglia XXIII edition

The traditional sailing competition Capraia-Giraglia (Corsica)-Capraia is open to all boats and sailing vessels with an overall length of not less than 8 meters and to mini-transats, enabled for navigation within 12 miles, with insurance coverage for the races.
Crews will be welcomed at the Capraia Sailing Village at La Salata, established for the occasion thanks to the support of the Municipality of the island and the exclusive collaboration of important sponsors in the nautical world (Raymarine, Tuccoli Fishing Boat, Osculati, Marina di Capraia).
The Minigiraglia is one of the five sailing races of the “Offshore Sailing Challenge Trophy of the LNI”, along with the Gorgona Express, the Lerici Great Buoy Regatta, the Pearls of Livorno, and the Perioli Memorial Trophy.
This year there will be many news: special prizes (including a canvas by Davide Besana), the exclusive presentation of the “story” of an iconic design object born in Capraia (curated by the Alessi Museum) and, finally, thanks to the collaboration of Toremar, a great final party with all the crews: on the Stelio Montomoli Ferry with the award ceremony and then a buffet lunch reserved for the participants in the sailing race.

Admittance requirements:

• boats and vessels enabled for navigation within 12 nautical miles, with an overall length (LOA) not less than 8 meters, including any pushpit and pulpit at bow and stern
• sailing vessels of the mini-transat class enabled for navigation within 12 nautical miles
• deck and interior equipment must be for “cruising”.
• boats and vessels must be equipped with engine and fixed or portable VHF radio equipment and all safety equipment required by current regulations.
