Patagarri in Straborgo with “The Last Wheel of the Caravan”

It is entitled “The Last Wheel of the Caravan” the summer tour 2025 of I Patagarri that on June 1st will touch Livorno for Straborgo, the event created by Fondazione LEM in collaboration with Xlr Produzioni Srl, which for five years has relaunched the Borgo dei Cappuccini neighborhood consecrating it as a place dedicated to the most current music and high-impact concerts. A strictly free event that has also imposed itself on national attention as a good omen location for the start of the career of many young artists.

I Patagarri – whose name pays homage to a historical sketch by the trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo – are a quintet composed of Francesco Parazzoli (trumpet and voice), Jacopo Protti (guitar), Daniele Corradi (guitar), Giovanni Monaco (clarinet and saxophone) and Arturo Monico (trombone and percussion).

With their joyful and engaging gypsy jazz, the Milanese band creates a contrast between the desire to escape from everyday life and the harshness of life that is faced to pursue their musical dream. Their song “Caravan”, included in the ‘XFactor mixtape 2024’, is in fact a cry for freedom, an invitation to take control of one’s life without fear of living on the margins if necessary.

Together with the spring dates, the shows that will take them throughout Italy from May to September also mark the beginning of a new collaboration with OTR Live and the opportunity to listen live to the introduction of a new element in the band, the bass, played by Nicholas Guandalini.

2024 was a turning point for I Patagarri. During their participation in X Factor, they managed to win over the audience, thanks to an unstoppable artistic talent, which allowed them to reinterpret the songs assigned by coach Achille Lauro and to reach the final on the notes of their original song “Caravan” (Warner Music Italy).

The caravan represents a refuge, a symbol of resistance to the dominant culture, but also a vehicle of hope and dreams that do not want to be denied. I Patagarri, through their music and their message, seem to want to demonstrate that true wealth is not economic, but that of passion, creativity and the desire to live without compromises.

STRABORGO is the music event born in 2021 with the aim of enhancing Borgo dei Cappuccini and relaunching the Coppa Risi’atori, one of the most beloved rowing competitions in the city.

The event has now become a permanent appointment of the Livornese summer with the aim of communicating the city’s identity and culture through one of its most characteristic neighborhoods and opening up, in the evenings of the event, even to the new generations thanks to the most current music.

Straborgo is organized by Fondazione L.E.M. – Livorno Euro Mediterranea in collaboration with Xlr Produzioni Srl. At the heart of the Foundation’s mission, the organization and ideation of major city events on behalf of the administration and the simultaneous territorial promotion activities for tourist purposes.
