The narrator’s voice of Veronica Pivetti, one of the most original theatrical performers in the Italian scene, accompanies the viewer on an intense journey between memory and present, through poetic texts that give new life to the Mascagni heroines. The most famous arias dedicated to these protagonists of verismo are performed by soprano Marta Mari, accompanied on the piano by Eufemia Manfredi, in an elegant and vibrant sound intertwining.
The dramaturgy weaves a deep story, where music, words, and image blend in an act of artistic resistance. A tribute to those who, for too long, have been unheard. Music does not save. But it persists. Like these voices. Like these women.
