The eighth week of programming at Fortezza Vecchia, curated by Menicagli Pianoforti, will be as always full of surprises and filled with great entertainment – from quality jazz to local dialect, from social theater to pop music – in a continuous and varied mix, night after night.
Tuesday 21 July, “Baciami Piccina”, 9.30 pm: a musical journey that offers a suggestive repertoire taken from the Italian songbook of the first decades of the last century – from 1900 to 1940. From “Parlami d’amore Mariù”, to “Abbassa la tua radio”, “Vipera”, “Balocchi e Profumi”, “Ti parlerò d’amor”, with instrumental music inserts that take up the most famous themes of the era. The “Baciami Piccina” are Veronica Angelica Niccolini (soprano), Enrico Lucarelli (piano), Stefano Lunardi (violin) and Fabrizio Balest (double bass). Free entry.
Wednesday 22 July, Mauro Grossi Trio, 9.30 pm: Mauro Grossi is an emblematic figure of Italian jazz and beyond – pianist, composer, leader of numerous musical projects. Tonight he presents an exceptional trio with two great musicians with whom he has been collaborating for several years. An exceptional Trio with a great and varied baggage of artistic experiences: Michele Vannucci, a drummer and percussionist of great refinement, experience and inventiveness, and Guido Zorn, an appreciated and versatile internationally renowned double bass player.
A project of original compositions by Mauro Grossi from the ’80s to today, with new completely unpublished tracks. Free entry.
Thursday 23 July, Mayor Von Frinzius in “Non posso c’ho da fa”, 9 pm: in collaboration with the Rotary Club Livorno, a charity evening in support of “Thisintegra” with Mayor Von Frinzius and their new show “Non posso c’ho da fa”. The show debuted in May 2026 with two “sold out” performances at the Teatro Goldoni, exciting critics and the audience. The work, directed by Lamberto Giannini, Rachele Casali, Silvia Angiolini and Sofia Puccini, has just won the “Best Direction” award at the Festival del Giullare in Trani. Free entry, recommended donation 15 euros.
Friday 24 July, 30 Corde Live, 9.30 pm: Exciting musical evening with the “30 Corde”, with the concert of the acoustic guitar duo formed by Andrea Leonardi and Riccardo Carboncini (literally explosive live), with all their load of very cheerful pop-flamenco. A sung and played excursus through the history of Italian and international music with free entry.
Saturday 25 July, “The Lady of the Bills”, 9.15 pm: one of Giuseppe Pancaccini’s masterpieces returns to the stage with the production of the Company “La Carovana” by Alessio Nencioni. The plot revolves around the tragicomic events of a couple: she, a housewife with a passion for shopping, ends up accumulating a huge amount of debts and signing bills without her husband’s knowledge, an upright bank official. This situation will lead to a series of hilarious misunderstandings, lies, and twists to try to hide the financial disaster. Entry, 10 euros.
Every Friday and Saturday, from midnight onwards, with the formats “Studio 2” and “Spazio”, the Fortezza Vecchia becomes one of the most suggestive open-air discos on the Tuscan coast, suitable for all types of audiences.
