Theater. “Visionary-the evolution”, monologues by Walter Nenci

Saturday, March 23rd at 9pm at the Teatro Il Grattacielo on via del Platano in Livorno, Walter Nenci returns to the stage presenting the show “Visionary-the evolution”. With a lucid and ironic monologue, intimate and informative, the actor tells his own life, highlighting a characteristic that will be a fundamental trait of his, being in conflict with mainstream thinking. Crossing the various aspects of our era and speaking in the first person, he becomes a symbol of human behavior, seeking a vain solution in excess, in the church, in work, in love, also because we are immersed in a society, where life is a navigation by sight, having lost the horizon of foresight. “What to say about this crazy society ?!..what to say about those who say I have to adapt ?!..they will love me ?!..Enough, I’m going to Mexico, I’m going all out, I’m going full steam ahead”…. These are the thoughts that trigger a reaction in the protagonist, who, experiencing enlightening experiences with the Indios, discovers, within himself, an attraction for the invisible in which to find a deep sense of existence.

Over the years, this intimate contact with one’s own spirit leads him to research where and when spirituality emerged in the oldest cultures, even in the precursors of Homo Sapiens, in the Cult of the Great Goddess, and why it was slowly annihilated in the subsequent epochs. Until he discovers with amazement and wonder that, nowadays, what can give lifeblood to the human being in the relationship with oneself, with others and with nature, defusing the poignancy of uncertain hope with a visionary vision, is the field that could seem farthest from such a theme, namely quantum physics, with its experiments so spiritually shocking.
