The photographic exhibition Symbiosis “The Sea” will be inaugurated on Saturday 28th December at 11 am – as part of the “Art & Nature 2nd edition” project, curated by the arts4all Cultural Association, in collaboration with the Livorno Aquarium – which will host it from December 26th to January 6th, 2025.

Symbiosis “The Sea” – already visible from December 26th at the Livorno Aquarium with the entrance ticket to the structure – is a project that celebrates the harmonious connection between art and nature, combining the magic of dance and art with the evocative power of photography.

The protagonist is the Sea, a vital element for the balance of our Planet. The Livorno Aquarium will become a living work of art, with photographs that offer poetic glimpses of underwater life.

During the inauguration, open to the public with an entrance ticket, there will be some initiatives: a choreographic and costume installation, a musical intervention – curated by Ars Nova Music School (guitar and vocals) –and a theatrical one (recitation of texts by the Cultural Association Compagnia del Cerchio, OndaLab theater workshop) and the reproduction of audiovisual material.

The vision of Eva Kosa – president of arts4all and creator of the Art & Nature project – has given rise to a collaboration with artists like Aurora Bresci, for costumes – made 85% with recycled materials – and Martina Tamberi, for makeup and body art. The director of photography, Paolo Bonciani, led the team of artists and dancers – who became the models for shots in plastic poses – in creating evocative images that convey the mysterious atmosphere of the seabed.

The goal of SYMBIOSIS “The Sea” is to raise awareness of a conscious and ethical reuse of waste materials. And it is for this reason that the waste that pollutes the sea, in the Symbiosis project, has become the object through which to re-tell the marine creatures that suffer from our neglect.

The Symbiosis project is not just a visual experience, but a reflection on our relationship with nature and the importance of preserving its beauties for future generations.

Under the Patronage of: Province of Livorno, Municipality of Livorno, and ARCI Livorno. With the support of: FIDAPA Livorno, Guglie Restaurant, and Kosa Tunde Maria. With the participation of the Dea dance school, Ars Nova music school, and the Cultural Association Compagnia del Cerchio.
