Social Taxi Service for Straborgo

As in previous years, also for Straborgo 2024 the Social Taxi service returns, a project promoted by the Disability Non Self-Sufficiency and Reduced Autonomy Table wanted by the Consultation of Associations of the Municipality of Livorno.

It is a free transport service for people with disabilities aimed at promoting greater social participation. There will be a driver and an assistant available for users, who will only help in boarding and disembarking maneuvers from the vehicle.

The service will be active from 21:00 (first ride) to 24:00 (last ride) on Friday 31st May and Saturday 1st June. On Sunday 2nd June the service will be active from 17:30 (first ride) to 21:30 (last ride).

1) it is important to specify the dimensions and characteristics of the aid used because the vehicle is equipped with a maximum 350 kg lift with a space of 124 cm x 80 cm.

2) The van meets the transport needs of all “standard” aids, such as manual, push and electronic wheelchairs

3) NO electric outdoor scooters will be allowed on board

Reservations will be accepted in order of call until the maximum number of seats available in the scheduled rides is reached.

The person with a disability and only one companion will be allowed to board the van.
