No Claims-Beach 2026

From June 25th to July 24th at the Bagni Paolieri in Quercianella (Livorno) will take place the series of meetings: Without Pretenses-Bathing 2026, a branch of the Without Pretenses exhibition that usually takes place at the end of September at the Casa del Popolo in Solaio in Pietrasanta

.

The beach version of the event offers nine meetings at various times (at 6.30 pm or at 9 pm) with the theme “THE PLACES”, intended as elements carrying meaning and significance, not just simple backgrounds. Nine meetings to rediscover and value everything that surrounds us.

We will talk about the corners of the world seen from benches, about Carlo Monni’s Florence, about Castiglioncello in the ’60s, about shopping centers, roundabouts, and pedestals, about election posters posted on walls, about small towns, archaeology and desert, about counties and the non-places of the female concentration universe.

The organizers say: “There will be nine divergent, twisted, discordant meetings, which focus on what is marginal, in order to train an unusual gaze, which escapes the standards. All in a simple way, without pretensions, precisely to rediscover the sense of community, even just to go out of the house.”

The format of the meetings is fixed: each talk will last approximately 50 minutes, during which to address and deepen each time an environment, related to an author, a period and anecdotes, also through the use of audiovisual material.

Speakers at the various meetings include art historian Lorenzo Carletti, illustrator Daniele Caluri, writer Paolo Ciampi, translator Federica Quirici, film critic Massimo Ghirlanda, archaeologist Alexia Pavan, storyteller Roberto Tofani, writer Pilade Cantini, migration phenomena scholar Giuseppe Sommario.

Attached is the complete program, also available on various social platforms.
