Scientists on bikes – 2nd Edition

Thursday, October 5, 2023 the second edition of Livorno and the Sea: Scientists on Bicycles will take place.

The researchers of CITEM – Center for Innovation and Technologies of the Sea of the Livorno Aquarium, in collaboration with the AMP Secche della Meloria, FIAB Livorno, and Lega Navale-Livorno, invite you to set sail on a pedal-powered journey to discover scientific research dedicated to the SEA and Sustainable Mobility.

Stops are planned at places that deal with Marine Sciences, from Dogana d’Acqua to Scoglio della Regina, and ending at the Livorno Aquarium. During the stops, the activities of the research centers will be presented.

The event, included in the framework of the European Researchers’ Night, takes place during the European Sustainable Mobility Week, on the National BIKE TO WORK Day.

The bike ride will be accompanied by boats from the Lega Navale that will sail along the coast.

Meeting point: Dogana d’Acqua Via del Cedro, 38 at 3:30 PM
Endpoint: Terrazza Mascagni-Livorno Aquarium
Participants must bring their own bicycle.
