NEIGHBORHOOD SCENARIOS 2024

Back to Livorno from August 30th to September 15th “Scenarios and Neighborhood Serenades” organized and supported by the Teatro Goldoni Foundation and the Municipality of Livorno with the artistic direction of Fabrizio Brandi and Emanuele Gamba (CLICK ON THE LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ARTICLE TO SEE THE DETAILED PROGRAM).
At its ninth edition, the festival strengthens the idea from which it started, that of bringing theater out of the theater, among people, in the neighborhoods of the city, to promote processes of regeneration, relationships, sharing, proximity, and thought.
Also this year the program – as evidenced by the “renewed” title – offers, alongside the narrative theater, 3 serenades whose programs will range from opera, Neapolitan songs, to musicals.
And here theater and music come together with the intention of exploring and enhancing fascinating and vibrant corners of the city.
Scenarios and Neighborhood Serenades in this edition will enter eleven neighborhoods of Livorno (Quercianella, Shanghai, Stazione, Torretta, Venezia, Pontino, Collinaia, Le Sughere, Antignano, Benci Centro, San Jacopo), with eleven free entry shows, always seeking to enhance spaces often not dedicated to culture but extremely receptive in terms of involvement and participation.
Some evenings will be characterized by neighborhood dinners, a convivial way to encourage participation after the show.
4 books on the theme will be presented: La casa popolare by Renzo Pacini; Il cuore rosso di Livorno by Enrico Mannari; Decimo porto by Alessia Cespuglio; Le case del malcontento by Sacha Naspini.
Furthermore, two dedicated evenings: the first, on September 10th, for the anniversary of the flood with the concert of the ensemble and chorus of the Goldoni theater, in the Collinaia neighborhood; and the other on September 12th with the show of the Compagnia Tempo Libero inside the prison in the Le Sughere neighborhood.
Also in this edition, a “neighborhood sheet” will be created by Stefano Pilato.
To organize the 2024 edition, we appealed to the economic forces of the city and beyond.
