On Saturday, October 17th, at 9.15 pm, at the Cinema Teatro Salesiani in Livorno, “San Francesco – Il Cantico” will be staged with Giacomo Moscato and Paolo Tenerini. The performance, through an immersive emotional narrative of great impact, will tell the story and work of Saint Francis of Assisi alternating some of the most beautiful songs dedicated to him (those composed by Angelo Branduardi for the album “L’infinitamente piccolo” and those composed specifically by Riz Ortolani and Claudio Baglioni for the film “Brother Sun, Sister Moon” by Franco Zeffirelli)
The show – On the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis, this show retraces the life of the patron saint of Italy from his birth to his sanctification, passing through all the episodes that have made his hagiography unique and inimitable: the wild youth, the conversion, the first followers, the acceptance of the rule, the miracles, the journey to the sultan, the hermitage, the stigmata, up to the writing of the first prayer-poem in vernacular Italian Literature, “The canticle of the creatures”. An emotional exegesis of this last work is proposed to explain the text, but at the same time to convey the emotions and the deepest meanings of a literary (as well as religious) document of exceptional importance. Tickets, at the cost of € 10.00, are already available for online presale on Liveticket (link: http://www.liveticket.it/evento.aspx?Id=701585)
