In May The Afternoons of the Library of the Vespucci-Colombo Institute (in collaboration with Erasmo Libri) move to the Chioschino at Villa Fabbricotti, Viale della Libertà, 30 (also entrances from Piazza Roma, via Pirandello and via Bartolena).
The first appointment Monday, May 13th, at 6.30 pm, with the book by Marco Corbi “Nervature poetry” (MdS Editore). Introduced by Glenda Morena.
At the third outing with MdS Editore after Zero, (2014) and Eptagoni, (2018), Marco Corbi confirms himself as an unconventional poet. Poems like barbs, like lapilli, but also like withheld caresses. All always seen diagonally, looking for the “corner of wind” mentioned by Magrelli, which for the author is the most important reference, together with Kavafis and Szymborska. And like Magrelli, Corbi also loves to range between different media: we will find ourselves projected into ‘Better Call Saul’ by reading classical Haiku, and the wind will bring us scents of countries perhaps only apparently far away.
Marco Corbi was born in 1968 in Livorno, where he resides. He lived for a long time in London, Rome and Milan. He writes poetry, stories, experimental texts many of which published in anthologies and literary magazines. He trained at the Carver School in Livorno. The meeting with MdS Editore is in 2013 and the following year the poetic collection Zero is released, which obtains a wide public success and is presented and included in the official Catalog at the Salone del Libro in Turin 2015. Always with MdS he publishes the collection Eptagoni (in 2018). Nervature is his third collection.
