<Piotta, stage name of Tommaso Zanello, singer-songwriter and rapper, producer and writer active since the ’90s in the urban scene, with a career that mixes popularity and mass success with activities of social commitment, journalism, literature, and theater. With a Roman father and Milanese mother, he grew up in the Montesacro neighborhood in Rome. From the mid ’90s he collaborated with some groups, including Colle der Fomento and Ice One, forming the Taverna VIII Colle Roma, with which he began producing the first underground works. He participated in all the live shows and first albums of the crew, releasing songs like “Funkadelico”, “Ciao Ciao”, “La forza che scorre” or “L’attacco dei Funkadelici 4”. This formation will be followed by that of Rome Zoo and Robba Coatta, with Turi, Squarta, MC Giaime and Cor Veleno.
