CHRISTMAS AT THE LIVORNO AQUARIUM

Starting from Saturday, December 7 until Christmas, on opening days, at the Livorno Aquarium children and teenagers will have the opportunity to send their Christmas letter to Santa Claus and receive a free Aquarium bookmark, courtesy of the Sillabe Publishing House (while supplies last).

From December 26, 2024, until January 6, 2025, visitors will be able to admire a real exhibition of submerged Nativity scenes in ceramic and terracotta, eco-sustainable materials, in the exhibition tanks and showcases of the Livorno Aquarium. The structure will be transformed into a magical world where Christmas traditions blend with the beauty of marine life, amphibians, insects, and reptiles.

From December 26, 2024, until January 6, 2025, the structure will host a photographic exhibition aimed at exploring the deep connection between art and the marine world, celebrating the symbiosis between man and nature. The exhibition, curated by the Arts4all Association, is included in the entrance ticket to the structure. €2.00 discount on Adult/Youth entrance ticket for Arts4all association members. Validity: from 12/26 to 1/6/2025 not combinable with other ongoing promotions.

On Saturday, December 28 at 11:00 am, inauguration of the exhibition curated by Paolo Bonciani, Aurora Bresci, Martina Tamberi, and Eva Kosa, in collaboration with the Dea Dance School, Alessandra Donati, and Cristina Giorgerini.

Throughout the Christmas holidays, a rich program of Edutainment activities. Children’s animation “A walk with the turtle”, experts along the route who will surprise you with thematic speeches, in addition to the special “Behind the scenes” tour. The activities are carried out in collaboration with Soc. Coop. Aplysia.

Here is the detailed calendar of the various activities:

– Animation “A walk with the turtle”: at 10:30 am – Duration 1h – Included in the entrance ticket to the Aquarium.

– Special tour “Behind the scenes”: 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm – Duration 1h – Participation costs €4.00 per person (in addition to the entrance ticket for the visit to the structure).

– Speech along the route: 4 speeches per day (15 ‘each) at 11:30 am – 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm included in the entrance ticket to the structure.

December 2024: every weekend and from 26 to 30

January 2025: every day from 1 to 6

In addition to these initiatives, the Livorno Aquarium offers a wide range of emotions and suggestions during the visit to the structure for all children and teenagers: on the ground floor, the aquarium path with a tank dedicated to the octopus, a tactile tank, and a tunnel. And still, the two green turtles “Ari” and “Cuba”, the blacktip reef sharks, the Napoleon fish. On the first floor, there is a space dedicated to insects, reptiles, and amphibians with leafcutter ants.

From December 1, opening to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm (last entry 5 pm)

From December 26, 2024, to January 6, 2025, included the structure will be open to the public every day from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (last entry 5 pm)

From January 7 until the end of March 2025, open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10 am to 6 pm (last entry 5 pm)

Please note: the structure will be closed to the public on December 23, 24, and 25, 2024.
